Boots, Blue Skies & Middle School Sweethearts | An Old Stonegate Farms Wedding in Nunica, MI

Some love stories begin with a grand gesture. Mariah and Ty's began in middle school. Together since they were just 14, these two married the person they grew up alongside, and there is something so sweet about that. On September 26, 2026, they celebrated with an Old Stonegate Farms wedding in Nunica, Michigan, full of cowgirl boots, dusty blue, and so much love.

The Details at Old Stonegate Farms

Their details told the whole story. The rings rested on a hockey puck hand-lettered with 9.26.26, next to "His Vows" and "Her Vows" books, their invitation suite, and a "Boots + Bride" shower invite. In the farmhouse bridal suite at Old Stonegate Farms, Mariah's gown hung beneath a crystal chandelier and gold script that reads "Once Upon a Time…" Her white cowgirl boots waited on the floor below. Honestly, it was the perfect opening line.

A Morning Filled with Letters and Love

The most important people in Mariah's life each wrote her a letter to open that morning, words she gets to keep forever. Sarah Hardin styled her soft, romantic waves, and Erin Quaine did the bridesmaids' hair. Mariah's Renee Austin Wedding gown had pearl-beaded straps and a pearl-trimmed open back. Once she stepped into it, her mom wrapped her in a hug and kissed her cheek. I melted.

A Handkerchief Made with Family Love

Ty's details held just as much heart. The blue floral pocket square in his tan Bridal Knight suit was made from the dress his grandma was supposed to wear on their wedding day. It kept her close as he said "I do." His mom pinned on his boutonniere, complete with pampas and a tiny horseshoe. Then his groomsmen tossed him straight up into the blue sky.

A First Look with Her Brothers & Private Vows

Mariah shared her first look with her brothers, who then carried her train up the farmhouse steps. On the brick porch, she and Ty shared a first touch. They stood back to back, holding hands while reading their private vows, as both sets of parents watched from the porch rail.

A Ceremony by the Waterfall

They said "I do" beneath a wooden arch draped in dusty blue and topped with blue hydrangeas, cream blooms, and pampas, with the venue's stone waterfall behind them. Mariah's pearl-dotted veil caught the sunlight as they exchanged Kay Jewelers rings and shared their first kiss.

Golden Hour in the Field

The bridesmaids wore mismatched dusty blue Azazie gowns and the groomsmen wore tan suits. They looked amazing against the farm's field of weathered timber posts. At golden hour the whole field glowed, and Mariah and Ty got a few quiet minutes together, her white boots kicking up as Ty lifted her off the ground.

A Party in the Barn

Then it was time to party. After a Mission BBQ dinner, DJ Code with Level Up Entertainment, cowboy hat and all, packed the barn's dance floor. String lights glowed overhead, LED foam sticks came out, and there were plenty of cowboy hats. Ali Trautner was there as the couple's content creator, capturing every bit of the fun.

To the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Langlois,

Thank you for trusting me to capture your wedding day. Getting to document a love story that started when you were just 14 was such an honor. Watching two middle school sweethearts finally say "I do" was SO special.

Mariah, you were breathtaking. From the letters written by the people who love you most to those white cowgirl boots, every part of your day felt so completely you. I hope those letters and these photos stay side by side forever.

Ty, your pocket square made from your grandma's dress was one of the most meaningful details I've ever photographed. What a beautiful way to keep her close. And the way you squeezed Mariah's hands during your private vows made it clear that middle school crush never went anywhere.

One of my favorite moments of the day was golden hour in that field: the two of you wrapped up in each other, boots kicking, sun pouring in. It was the perfect pause before the party in the barn.

Thank you for letting me be part of a story that started so many years ago. I can't wait to see where the next chapters take you.

Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter, full dance floors, and so many more adventures together.

xo, Lexie
