From the second I arrived, I knew this day was going to be such a fun one to photograph. The colors, the details, their wedding party, the florals… everything came together SO beautifully.

A Luxury Wedding Venue in Byron Center, Michigan

One of my favorite things about Venue Bella Giornata is the variety you get throughout the property. As a photographer, this is HUGE! I love when we can create an entire gallery that feels cohesive while still giving my couples completely different looks without having to leave their venue.

Venue Bella Giornata gives you that perfect mixture of modern luxury and natural beauty. The clean architecture, large windows, warm wood details, neutral colors, beautiful landscaping, and outdoor spaces create such an elevated backdrop for a wedding day.

Phylicia and Jacob were able to have their ceremony outdoors surrounded by greenery and beautiful landscaping before bringing everyone inside for their reception. The indoor reception space continued that elegant feel while giving their guests plenty of room to celebrate, and TRUST ME, this group knew how to celebrate!

The Most Gorgeous Fall-Inspired Wedding Colors

Can we talk about this COLOR PALETTE?!

Jacob wore the most incredible deep red suit paired with a cream tie, while his groomsmen wore tan suits with red ties. It was such a fun way to make the groom stand out while keeping the entire wedding party coordinated.

And then there were the girls!

Phylicia’s bridesmaids wore a mixture of champagne, rust, terracotta, and warm orange tones. Rather than everyone wearing the exact same color, the different shades added so much dimension and photographed beautifully together. Their bouquets brought everything together with red, orange, cream and white florals mixed with greenery.

I will forever be a fan of wedding parties that coordinate without perfectly matching, and this was SUCH a good example of how to do it.

Phylicia looked absolutely stunning in her sparkly, beaded wedding gown. Between the intricate detailing, lace, and sparkle, her dress caught the light beautifully. Add in her veil and the warm tones throughout the rest of the wedding day and it was perfection.

Personal Details That Made Their Wedding Their Own

Some of my favorite wedding details are the ones that actually tell me something about my couple and their people.

Jacob gifted each of his groomsmen their own pair of Nike Airs in different colors to wear for the wedding. Seeing all of the guys lined up in their tan suits with completely different pops of color on their shoes was SO fun and such a cool detail to photograph.

The girls had their own matching detail with coordinating earrings, tying everyone together in a much more subtle way.

These are the little things I LOVE capturing because years from now, they help bring back more than just what your wedding looked like, they bring back what it felt like.

Wedding Photos at Venue Bella Giornata

We had SO many gorgeous options for portraits at Venue Bella Giornata. The outdoor greenery was perfect for wedding party photos, while the venue’s architecture and wooden details gave us completely different backgrounds for Phylicia and Jacob’s portraits.

And then we got that warm evening light!

Those quieter portraits toward the end of the day are always some of my favorites. After the ceremony is over and the timeline starts to slow down a little, my couples finally get a chance to just be together. Phylicia and Jacob looked incredible against the greenery and golden light, and their deep red and warm neutral color palette made everything feel even richer.

Then it was back inside to PARTY.

Their reception was full of laughter, dancing, and the kind of energy that makes my photographer heart very happy. The modern reception space at Venue Bella Giornata gave everyone room to celebrate while still keeping that upscale, intimate feeling throughout the evening.

Phylicia, you were absolutely STUNNING. Your sparkly beaded dress was made for you, and seeing everything come together with the warm colors, gorgeous florals, and all of your girls beside you was seriously perfection. Jacob, between that red suit and gifting all of your guys their own different colored Nikes, you definitely brought your personality into the day, and I loved every second of it!

One of my favorite things about your wedding was how much personality was woven into every part of it. The girls with their matching earrings, the guys and their shoes, the colors, the details… it was elegant and luxurious while still feeling completely like the two of you.

But more than anything, I loved getting to capture the way you two were together. The little looks, the laughs, the quiet moments in between everything happening around you, and getting to watch you finally become HUSBAND + WIFE!!
